Midday supervisors are responsible for promoting a friendly and safe environment and helping children get the best out of their time outside of the classroom.They perform an important role in guiding pupils to the right place at the right time during their lunch breaks.
Midday supervisors are also often engaged in a variety of roles within the school. Outside of the school building they may control games areas, playgrounds and other outdoor activities.
A skilled Midday Supervisors can provide structure to a lunch break, builds rapport among the catering team, pupils and teaching staff. The midday supervisor will be asked to maintain the culture desired by the senior team in the dining room and can make the lunch experience enjoyable and safe.
CACHE Level 2 and 3 qualifications are required (along with a current paediatric first aid certificate) and you’ll need a successful background check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
